The ipw2200 driver does support WEP. It also supports the newer IPW2915
802.11a/b/g card.
=46rom http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/README.ipw2200:
Release 0.12 Current Features
------------ ----- ----- ---- --- -- - =20
- BSS mode (Infrastructure, Managed)
- IBSS mode (Ad-Hoc)
- WEP (OPEN and SHARED KEY mode)
- 802.1x EAP via xsupplicant
- Wireless Extension support=20
- long/short preamble support
- Full B and G rate support (2200 and 2915)
- Full A rate support (2915 only)

The ipw2100 driver supports WPA and RFMON - which is also planned for
the ipw2200 once the current features stabilize.
Sincerely,
