Well as I wrote:
OSS doesn't work after suspend. As Ronald wrote ALSA works. OSS is deprecated, ALSA not. So if you have the choice I would recommend ALSA. The only problem is that ALSA is a little bit more difficult to configure and you have another running daemon, but I guess otherwise you have the process hidden in the kernel. So probably the CPU usage is the same.
