I have my T21 set up just the way I like it right now (running Libranet
2.8.1, Kernel 2.4.26), TP buttons work, sounds good, wifi works etc.
The idea of having to go through the whole setup to get back to where I
am right now is truly daunting! and I'd also like to upgrade it to a
bigger hard drive in the near future.
I have all the important configuration files backed up both on my
desktop & on my Gmail account (really useful place for stuff like
that!), and I have all my data backed up on my desktop. But I'd like to
be able to save a complete image of the hard drive for backup & also
possibly to aid in upgrading the hard drive.
I'm thinking that an external USB drive looks like the most likely
candidate (either a ready-made, or a drive & an enclosure)- does anyone
have any recommendations/tips/horror stories etc?
And are there any packages out there that will let me make a complete
image a'la Ghost (18 GB HD, Kept a small Win98 partition, rest Reiserfs)?
And/or can anyone point me to a good "how-to" on how to upgrade the HD
while keeping all my partitions/configurations/data intact?
Thanks in advance!
