You should not buy a thinkpad if you want to use the mini PCI slot.
Unfortuantly I recognized that too late. :-(

Now I am looking for a X24 solution, model 2662MWG.

No effect? Do you mean, you applied the patch, plugged in the wlan card and
the boot error still occurs?
