hi,

I've found the bug on X.org 6.7.CVS and 6.8.0, with suspend
and ACPI, which leads to the DRI Module of X.org and late Xfree86.

There is a also a small workaround explained, who is
interested in. With this you can Run Suspend and still
use DRI.

It's not a solution, but only a work around.

With some more posts, we will maybe be able to get it
fixed by the mainteners.
