Hello,
a couple of month ago I've found this link [1] regarding lm_sensors, I read
the explanation, after this I didn't want to install lm_sensors on my
thinkpad. Anyway I'm satisfied with the cpu temp and battery sensors which i
get from acpi.

But now it isn't dangerous to start sensors-detect i think, because it will
determine your eeprom before doing all the dangerous stuff and exit if a
thinkpad eeprom was found.
