 Yeah I got this during a long series of -mm patched kernels, but I
 stopped using them when the -mm patching wasn't needed anymore.  ISTR
 that it lasted with -mm patches above:
 - linux-2.6.8-rc1-mm1
 - linux-2.6.8-rc2-mm1
 - linux-2.6.8-rc3-mm2
 - linux-2.6.8-rc4-mm1

 And I've got functional kernels with:
 - linux-2.6.7
 - linux-2.6.8-rc4
 - linux-2.6.8.1

 I am using a Debian kernel right now (patched and compiled by Debian
 developers) of 2.6.8.1, and everything's fine.
