[ltp] No sound on A30 (2652 3CU) with Sarge

Hi,

I just installed Debian/Sarge on my IBM A30 (model 2652 3CU).  I don't 
have any sound.  Every howto says it just works, but it ain't working in 
my case.

I've tried doing a:
modprobe snd-intel8x0
modprobe snd-pcm-oss
modprobe snd-mixer-oss

But nothing happened.   And, yes, I've tried pushing the volume controls 
below the monitor and the speaker icon :)

Any suggestions would be much appreciated
