Hi all,
After more then a few emails with IBM Singapore, they are still adamant about
not sending me the CD. Our conversation is attached below and if you guys are
interested you can take a look.
Anyway, as luck would have it, I had to boot into windows to get some things
done, and I clicked on Access IBM - Rapid Restore Ultra to see what options
they have. Some script started running and before I can cancel it, asks me
whether I wanted to restart my computer.
Rebooting I was horrified to find my grub reporting Error 22. (Partition not
found). Using a knoppix CD I managed to restore grub, and fdisk reports that
the partitions are still there. Rebooting into windows it just keeps trying
to install the Rapid Restore Ultra again and again.
That has totally fucked up my system. Currently moving my /home to other
machines so that I can do a clean wipe.
If you're dual booting, _don't_ click on the rapid restore ultra.

Dear Wai Peng,
I had checked & confirm with my country support that Singapore will not
issue free copy of recovery cd to customer. If you need it you can
purchase from service center.
If you need to do recovery on your machine you may alway press the Access
IBM. If Access IBM not function please send your machine to service center
to get it repair or you can download the Rescue and Recovery with repid
restore install and create the backup to CDs.
Sorry for the inconvenience cause to you.
Thank you and have a nice day,
