[ltp] linux problem, hard drive problem or motherboard problem

I haven't upgraded in several days so that isn't the problem. However, I
am running debian                                               sid. I'm
now running the 2.6.8.1 kernel but as far as I can tell the problem isn't
kernel-dependent; I think I also had the problem with a 2.4 kernel.
However, I ran fedora for a short time and I don't recall having these
problems then but that could be chance.
