A better reference for you to have for your T23 would be the hardware
maintenance manual (HMM), which covers things like how to remove
replacable parts, etc. Essential reading if you're interested in
upgrading your RAM, changing your backup battery, upgrading the hard
drive, etc. On an older Thinkpad, it can also be of assistance if you
happen to damage something and need to buy a replacement from a source
like Ebay (say your display or keyboard goes bad, and you need to
replace it with a known working spare...).
You should be able to find it by searching the IBM site for "Hardware
Maintenance Manual", possibly along with your machine's type.
