The swapping, and the funny screw with the "security version" with an
Allen head, were originally intended for sharing laptops among
traveling sales people. I think the intention was that once a week,
when they rotated through road trips for example, was ok, but using it
like a floppy, in and out, out and in, was more than it should be
expected to take.
