[ltp] Hotkeys and ACPI support on T41p

Hi-

I was having this discussion on the fedora forum, but I thought I throw 
it out to an IBM specific list.  I was running ACPI and had installed 
the ibm-acpi drivers from sourceforge.  Follow the directions in the 
niemueller walkthrough

trying to enable my hotkeys (Fn+Fx) to no avail.  I then disabled acpi 
in my grub.conf and the hotkeys work, but I now see the APM daemon 
booting rather than ACPI.  I was under the impression that ACPI was 
superior to APM (I don't know though) and was just wondering how 
everyone else has handled the hotkey issue on their thinkpads.  I am 
running Fedora Core 4 with kernel 2.6.12-1.1398_FC4.
