Voila! I'm back! A known-dealer at Ritchie street
(place for getting computer stuff in Chennai, India)
took it for servicing, and he said he did something
with the embedded security chip. I am now able to
enter into the IBM Bios.
I thought it will be good to move to a new distro. So,
I installed Debian Sarge 3.1 :) Everything I have
tested so far works great, X, USB, gigabit ethernet,
touchpad. Still have lot of peripherals' testing to
do. I find lot of good documentation for debian on t41
online. Will shoot any questions to the mailing list
if I don't find answers elsewhere.
Cheers!
