Hi,
I own a T42 with standard battery (6 cells) + 1 ultrabay battery (3 cells).
When unplugged, the laptop uses the ultrabay battery, then when empty,
uses the normal one.
This worked out of the box, and seems to be hardware-controled, as I am
pretty sure it would work under ... grub for exemple :)
T42 / Kernel 2.6.10

ps : I am still looking for a way to control battery charge / discharge
policy.
This way I would define several rules depending on my location and what
I plan to do - is the purpose of preserving batteries.
(for the moment, my standard battery is never used, as my 3 cells
ultrabay battery is used at first and I do not go really far this times
- and that is bad for both batteries)
Thanks
