If anyone's actually struggling with this on FC4, entire web sites are not
required.

# rpm -ivh http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/4/i386/RPMS.lvn/livna-release-4-0.lvn.2.4.noarch.rpm
(or use the yum.conf on http://www.fedorafaq.org)

# yum install xmms-mp3 gstreamer-plugins-mp3 bmp-mp3 xine mplayer vlc amarok (other multimedia apps you want...)
