I cannot remember whether sound works while you are using the modem. In any case
sound works before and after using the modem. I think that I concurrently used
modem and soundcard, but I'm not sure at all. The modem seems to use the sound
hardware, however, as it is only a softmodem, and AFAIK the integrated sound is
not multichannel capable. Thus, it might well be that I'm wrong..
