Another reply notes the tpb package, which I have also used.

If you are using the KDE desktop, there is a built-in tool for this named=20
Kmilo.  It is available from the Control Center, under System Administratio=
n,=20
as IBM Thinkpad Laptop.

You don't mention what these are - tpb or kmilo will provide the graphical=

feedback.  Some of the underlying functionality comes from the APM or ACPI=
=20
tools, or WiFi or Bluetooth packages.  But all the graphics come from tpb o=
r=20
kmilo.
