Hi,
I want to get the modem of my R50e to work. I have installed kanotix (debian based
distro). Its hardware regognition installed a smartlink modem driver. Unfortuneatly it
doesnt work. When I dial via kppp the output shows suggests that it does not react on
the dial command. There is no sound (it is turned on), no nothing. It reacts via the
modem check in kppp to the other commands. I have also tried the linuxant driver, but
while installing it says, it cannot find a modem.
I have used ListMdm from Windows to determine the modem. Here is the output.

Does anyone know what to do, to get it working. Has anyone with a R50e managed it?
