the A22p should work just fine as long as you give it enough time to do s=
tuff.
Do a stage3 install; the benefits from a stage1 install are minimal. It=
took
about 12 hours to get KDE 3.4 compiled on an A22p, even with distcc runni=
ng on
a faster desktop. Xorg took about an hour. Remember to prelink -afmR af=
ter
emerging everything; that should make KDE apps start faster.
You'll want to put in 20-150 for Hsync and 10-400 for Vsync in your xorg.=
conf
, since if you use the autodetected values, you'll be stuck with 1600x120=
0 as
the only Mode that works. You may want smaller modes for things like gam=
es
and movies.
