Right, I forgot.
Thinkpad T40, 23733V1, sucky Radeon M6 (7000 on steroids).
I am using gensplash but I don't think that matters since
it's off by the time I suspend. I am running MDK 10.1 Official.

To suspend, I issue echo mem > /sys/power/state
(echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep often freezes the computer upon
resume).
