[ltp] How to keep IBM RescueRecovery working after FC3 Linux installation?

Hello,

After several attempts to install FC3 on my 80GB drive, I found the
Linux installation seems to disable the IBM RescueRecovery function
(normally accessible by [AccessIBM] button on system power up).

Any idea if IBM RR (for XP) & FC3 Linux can co-exist? Or if it is just
disabled (w/o being erased), how can I regain it w/o the pain to re-read
thru all the RR CDs? I've tried the 3 options of the Predesktop Area in
BIOS: Secure, Normal, Disabled.

My system setup procedure is:

1. On XP, run "Create Recovery Discs" from my brand new T42, to create
7 RR CDs

2. Test-Recover the XP installation by Recovering from the above 7 CDs

3. Re-partn the drive to the table below, using PartnMagic
Disk /dev/hda: 80.0 GB, 80026361856 bytes
240 heads, 63 sectors/track, 10337 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 15120 * 512 = 7741440 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 3522 26626288+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/hda2 3523 9661 46410840 f W95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/hda3 9707 10337 4770360 12 Compaq diagnostics
/dev/hda5 3523 5961 18438808+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/hda6 5962 7722 13313128+ b W95 FAT32
/dev/hda7 7723 9582 14056843+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda8 9582 9661 594373+ 82 Linux swap

4. Install FC3 onto partn hda7 above

5. Both XP and Linux can boot to OS normally. The RR partn (hda3)
seems to be still there (XP Disk Management recognizes it as IBM_Service)

6. But the RescueRecovery cannot be invoked from [AccessIBM] button
during power up.
