Use IOGear PS/2 to USB adapter. For example,  GLUC10KM. 
I used one with T41 and a PS/2 KVM without problems. Later, I switched to using
USB KVM, but I still used the adapter to hook up my PS/2 keyboard to
the switch's console
port.
