You need snd_cs4236 for the 600E. Don't compile it
into the kernel, make a module. I have to unload
and load the module after booting once to make
sound work.

It's because you got the wrong devicedriver, not
udev. You might try to use alsaconf to figure out
the right parameters for the module.
