(I use the Cisco Aironet 350 PCMCIA adapter under Debian.)  The ethM
interface is for regular networking use.  The wifiN interface has something
to do with raw data (for example, monitoring programs like kismet want to
do something with it).

This stuff is worth trying, except that you want to specify "eth1", not
"wifi0".
