[ltp] Installing ThinkPadpm modules

When I install the modules I get this message:-

WARNING: /lib/modules/2.6.10-gentoo-r5/thinkpad/thinkpadpm.ko needs unknown 
symbol put_cpu_ptr
WARNING: /lib/modules/2.6.10-gentoo-r5/thinkpad/thinkpadpm.ko needs unknown 
symbol get_cpu_ptr

Does it matter?
fwiw this is on a R40 - 2681 - B9M
the thinkpad modules are from thinkpad_5.8.tar.gz

I also get _lots_ of warnings when compiling.
