Hi everyone,
good news first: it seems like that the new 2.6.10 kernel that comes with
debian-unstable is working fine on my X20 - I can suspend and resume without
any big problems! Under previous kernel-versions functional power-managament
was "limited" to apm...
Now, some errors and minor irritations remain:
The log shows this after every suspend-wakeup:
Jan 24 23:37:58 localhost kernel: ACPI-0405: *** Error: Handler for
[EmbeddedControl] returned AE_TIME
Jan 24 23:37:58 localhost kernel: ACPI-1138: *** Error: Method execution
failed [\_SB_.PCI0.ISA_.EC__.SYSL] (Node cbb41ce0), AE_TIME
Jan 24 23:37:58 localhost kernel: ACPI-1138: *** Error: Method execution
failed [\_SI_._SST] (Node cbb48bc0), AE_TIME
Jan 24 23:37:58 localhost kernel: ACPI-0594: *** Error: Method _SST
failed, AE_TIME
For the ACPI-1138 error I found something on google, seems to be a bug
discovered by a recent path to the kernel...
Any idea what causes the other errors?
Finally, when first suspending, the little moon-symbol turns on just like its
expected to - however, when I resume it starts blinking - and keeps doing so
until the next suspend - where it turns off completely...
Again - any ideas?
Thanks for your help!!!
Cheers,
Stefan
