What about those USB-Serial or Parallel converters? They are easily
available for less than US$20 (and HP even bundles usb-serial with their
notebooks). They worked very smoothly & stably for me in my previous
port-less notebook, but bundled with Windows drivers only. Any body
any ideas about if there are Linux drivers?
I still believe if IBM discarded the parallel port on T4n and Xnn, they
could shrink the depth at least 1-cm shorter, and weight reduced a few
tens of grams.
