Sorry, to see you struggle, but I do not have a good hint for you.
(I did not use ACPI on my T40p and do not have it anymore.)
Just a few questions, which might be related to the problem:

Do you have the newest BIOS and embedded controller program versions?

Have you ever inspected your DSDT and tried to fix potential errors?

However, I know of no success report, where someone fixed the power
drain of its Thinkpad by fixing the DSDT!
So this might not be worth the effort... :-/
