this is a kernel config item... if you're not sure how to build a kernel
then i recommend you either live with it (it doesn't actually hurt
anything) or try switching to a different kernel package from your
vendor.
It did not fix the problem for me on 2.6.8
It did fix the problem for me on 2.6.10
