[ltp] poll: how is your battery? (9-cell-battery lost about 25% capacity in 10 months)

I had a dell inspiron 8200 with two batteries. one lasted 1 year
before completely dying. the other lasted until i gave it away --
though the capacity was pretty short.

so my experience hasn't been the same as yours.

it's pretty sad that these batteries die so frequently. i got this
thing so i could take 7-8 hour flights and have the laptop usable for
most of that. if that's only true for three months, when your max is 6
hours, and then 5 hours after 6, etc, then it seems like false
advertisement.

are batteries really that bad? does better technology not exist?=20
