I called the IBM support twice. First time about 8 months after buying an A30.
I got the CDs for free with no problem. The second time, I called them within
several days after purchasing my T30. This time it was a little bit mor
tricky as they first tried to tell me I should use the recovery partition.
However, I told them that I was not able to restore from the recovery
partition due to an error popping up during the restore process. Thus, they
send me the set of CDs for free as well as this should be a warranty issue,
at least in Germany.
