[ltp] poll: how is your battery? (9-cell-battery lost about 25% capacity in 10 months)

Has anybody tried the (sorry, again Windows) BatteryMaximizer's 
"Re-Conditioning" tool?  

How long/good does it work to regain the battery capacity?  

I didn't try because it scared me by saying it would take 2 
charge/discharge cycles (nearly a whole day requiring you to sitting 
beside it).
