Well, I've decided to take the plunge and just see how it goes with the
T43 (model listed above.) I can't imagine it will be horrible. :) I will
update to the latest Xorg release upon receipt. I may try out FC3 (or
FC4, which apparently is coming out next week.) Once I get it, I will
try to provide a detailed report on how everything works - or doesn't.
