Probably just enough differences to make it require a Mac-compatible
linux rather than a TP style linux. Don't know if you're serious about
the CPU not being compatible, but it sounds like they intend to make the
system incompatible with Windows, mainly to prevent you from running the
Mac OS on a generic laptop. The biggest worry might be that with the
Mac OS not being 64-bit compatible for the foreseeable future, the Mac
hardware may not support any 64-bit OS.
