Are you saying that you have an ATI in your laptop and that, then Yes. It's
true that video cards in Linux still suck big time?

I don't give crap if the driver is closed source, but if it works, I'm
happy. Nvidia driver works like a beauty for me. But then I haven't really
tested suspend.

(I'm not saying that we shouldn't have open source drivers. :) If they were
open, we wouldn't be having this conversation)
