my xorg log says

(**) RADEON(0): Option "DynamicClocks" "on"
Which means that it found the option in the config file.

but i think it's this line
(II) RADEON(0): Dynamic Clock Scaling Enabled

that says the option was accepted.

i do not have a fan problem on my system.
