there are no. It's left from 2 old implementations, which were
different.

Please correct me, if I'm wrong.

This one will only work on acpi: echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep

This should be universal for acpi and apm, but should do the same on
acpi as the command above: echo -n mem > /sys/power/state
