I applied this patch (moving from 2.6.10 to 2.6.11 in the process)
and got a black screen on reboot. Just a text mode cursor flashing.
It looked like stuff was being written (cursor moving), but
invisibly. No keyboard response. Hard reboot. I tried adding nofb
to the grub line, but that didn't help. Eek! It's probably not the
patch's fault.
