Yes, but I must have been smoking crack. I just tried it again
and this is what I get (only 1 hunk failed though):
klippie linux-2.6.10-gentoo-r6-radeon # patch -p1
</home/jean/work/thinkpad/Thinkpad_Suspend_Powersave__Add_D2_power_saving_code_for_Thinkpads_with_Radeon_video_chipsets.patch
patching file drivers/video/Kconfig
Hunk #1 succeeded at 754 (offset 43 lines).
patching file drivers/video/aty/radeon_base.c
Hunk #1 succeeded at 242 (offset -31 lines).
Hunk #2 succeeded at 2456 (offset -82 lines).
Hunk #3 succeeded at 2497 (offset -84 lines).
patching file drivers/video/aty/radeon_pm.c
Hunk #1 succeeded at 36 with fuzz 2 (offset 9 lines).
Hunk #2 FAILED at 2780.
1 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file
drivers/video/aty/radeon_pm.c.rej
On 2.6.11-r4 it looks better:
$ cat patching.txt
klippie linux # patch -p1
<
/home/jean/work/thinkpad/Thinkpad_Suspend_Powersave__Add_D2_power_saving_code_for_Thinkpads_with_Radeon_video_chipsets.patch
patching file drivers/video/Kconfig
Hunk #1 succeeded at 734 (offset 23 lines).
patching file drivers/video/aty/radeon_base.c
patching file drivers/video/aty/radeon_pm.c
(This is the patch sent in <3.518178082@mit.edu>)
