Good news:

i know from an IBM-reseller in Germany that Suse is working on an
patched ATI-Driver.
they will release it some days after suse linux 9.3 is out. it will be
specified for the suse installation, but it should be possible to alter
it, so that it works on other platform as well, shouldn't it.
