[ltp] power supply DC cords breaks?

I had a similar problem with a TP 770 power supply. What happened was
that the ground braid right next to the plug (where it tends to bend
and curl) broke. It's possibly to fix this by *careful* soldering,
but don't melt through the insulator.
Used, and even new, power supplies are cheap on eBay, so it may not even
be worthwhile trying to fix one.
