[ltp] Solved? No sound on T4x with alsa (snd-intel8x0) and 2.6.x

Aha, it seems that 1.0.10rc1 (included in kernel 2.6.14) does it.  I hadn't
seen it at first because "alsaplayer /usr/share/sounds/KDE_Beep_Beep.wav",
my usual quick test, does not actually beep.  (Another bug, maybe?)

alsaplayer on other sound files and mplayer now play audible sound.  I'm
keeping Headphone/Line Jack Sense muted, as suggested, for now...
