xv doesn't work anymore after suspend and resume on my
t41p either. so i just gave it a try and here we go:
using vbetool to save and restore the state of my
firegl t2, I can use xv after a suspend and resume
cycle (no matter if I suspend to ram or suspend2 to disk).

Feel free to try it out ;)

BTW: Nigel Cunningham just released Suspend 2.2-rc10
     including the fix for fglrx driver I just found out
     (see one of my last mails for details).
