what radeon do you have again?  if it's an rv280 (9200), you might try
adjusting the TMDS tables in radeon_bios.c (I can explain how).=20
Another thing you might want to try is adjusting the modeline to use a
lower refresh or reduced blanking intervals.  you will however need to
comment out some code in the radeon driver since it currently does not
allow you to specify your own modelines for TMDS output.  See bug
