That sounds goof for you, but not for me. :(
After i eject and insert the drive, i get the following:
fairlight:~# hdparm -d1 /dev/hdc
/dev/hdc:
setting using_dma to 1 (on)
HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted
using_dma =3D 0 (off)
Kernel 2.6.14=20
System T40p
Can you please post your kenrel version an idectl command to register
the drive.
