Hi

My personal favorite is debian, you can try etch or sid.
I upgraded from etch to sid 2 days ago and it works perfectly.

However in debian you have to do some work yourself.

Ubuntu is the easier way (it comes with wireless drivers and it works
out-of-the box), but it's not for me. Some things are hidden from my
eyes in Ubuntu and this is the only cons I can say about it.

So if you are about to install SUSE give Ubuntu a try first.
(It has a nice handbook too.)
