[ltp] [T40]Can't compile ibm-acpi on Slackware

Well, is it really impossible for a 2.4.x kernel to support IBM-ACPI? Is 
that the reason why I keep getting the compilation error message? I am sort 
of  a linux newbie, and I am planning kernel compilation for later. So, is 
there a solution on my 2.4.31 kernel?
