Hi Wolf!

Well, my over 2 year old R40 does boot from USB (2.0). Unfortunately it
is not that comfortable. You need to boot with your USB bootdevice
plugged in and enter BIOS. Go to the menu where you can set the boot
devices, and go to the harddisk. Now, in my case, I can see also the USB
harddisk device and I have to change the boot order so that the USB
device will come before the internal harddisk to be able to boot from
it. The only annoying thing is that if I boot the R40 once without the
external harddisk, the bios sets the internal disk to be the first, also
when I boot a second time with external drive.

But most important is that it works ;-)
