But does Windows use different resolutions on both screens, or does
Windows switch to 1024x768 on both the LCD and the CRT?  The second is
possible with X (specify two metamodes and then use xrandr), but the
first isn't (I trust Alex knows what he says).

(I do not know what Windows can do, since I (accidentally) clobbered it
on the first day when I bought my T42, and never bothered to restore
it. ;)
